watching the toucan start flying down toward the base of the cliff they're approaching, Sora flips up into the air -- and then just drops. when his feet hit the cliff wall, he continues accelerating straight downward.*

*and Sora shows no sign of changing his direction to head anywhere but rock bottom. his eyes on locked on the target, but he is curious about how far Ikki will follow him down this path that's no place for a person with any sort of sanity*

*rather than just letting his kick hit Ikki's arm like he did the other day, he uses the other boy's arm to vault up over him and aim a kick from the back*

*the target is close enough and Ikki's gone sprawling far enough downward and away from Sora that the benefits of going after him to deliver a few more kicks while he's down... nah, wouldn't be worth it right now. begins heading up after the bird, which has begun flying back up, out of the cliffs*

[jumps to his feet and glances up, then takes off again, heading upwards and trying his best to catch up]

*Ikki would be hard-pressed to catch up to Sora at this point -- though since this is, after all, a chase after another target and not a race, not being able to catch up isn't the be all, end all. as they approach the upper edge of the cliff, it will be a matter of who gets the better air, both in general and in relation to the bird that's now flapping its way over the large gap of empty space between cliffs.*

*to Ikki's credit, if Sora had considered this to be a serious competition, he would be regretting any decision to have left Ikki in working condition after catching him at the bottom of the cliffs. that's a moot point, though, really. Sora's path through the air toward the toucan in question is... strange, having an almost alarmingly flat arc, considering the distance that needs to be covered -- his aim also seems to be off.*

[. . . notices that, but doesn't slow down any, because Ikki isn't about to lose horribly to anyone - especially Takeuchi Sora, and especially this one. catches his A-T on the cliff's edge and leaps]

*suddenly twists mid-air to aim a kick -- not at Ikki, but at the toucan. psychic though it may be, isn't fast or strong enough to avoid being knocked by the blast of wind coming its way -- tumbled down and, as Sora lets himself just drop from the sky, right into Sora's path. he slaps a sticker on the bird as he falls past it.*

[while he does get some great air, that's obviously not enough, and Ikki's wheels scrape against the edge of the other cliff as he climbs down, skidding to a stop below]
